What about oral antibiotics? PDF Print E-mail

ImageEach year 5 million prescriptions for oral antibiotics and 1.4 million topical prescriptions are dispensed for the treatment of acne. Many people cannot, or should not, take oral antibiotics. Antibiotics carry a risk of side effects. Some of these side effects are mild, such as nausea or diarrhea while others are rare and more serious, such as life threatening skin reactions.
